Two years ago, when our Congresswoman Mary Bono; our former Senator John Benoit, and our Riverside County Supervisors Marion Ashley, John Tavaglione and Roy Wilson encouraged me to run for our Assembly seat and join their elected team, I was honored and thrilled with the trust they placed in me.

We all share the same conservative beliefs that government should work for us and not the other way around. We all agree in the Republican doctrine that says that government that governs least governs best.

Although the dysfunction of Sacramento has proven frustrating, I have and will continue to fight to accomplish the following:

• Solve our budget deficit by restoring accountability, streamlining the bureaucracy, a cutting spending on wasteful programs.
• Improve our education system by reducing bureaucracy, encouraging innovation in the classroom, and demanding accountability.
• Help solve the illegal immigration crisis that is crippling our state and our nation.
• Make sure our local transportation tax dollars get spent here where we need it most.

  But I can only do that with your support and with your vote. Between now and election day, I hope to earn both.
